URCC NCORP RB held its 2nd team-building event in March 2023. This session was facilitated by Fiona Grant and Jessica Bronzert of The Sparks Group.
Each attendee completed Gallup’s Full 34 CliftonStrengths assessment, which measures individuals’ unique talents and natural patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.
With the use of this framework, we each learned our personal Strength styles, natural patterns, and those of our teammates.
With fun activities and group exercises, we learned how to implement what we learned about ourselves into our current team structures.
On the first Friday in January 2023, the URCC NCORP RB participated in a day-long retreat called “Thriving in uncertain times: focusing on ways to bring energy, community, creativity, and fulfillment to our work” facilitated by Dr. Ronald Epstein, world-renowned for his research on communication in healthcare, his writings about mindful practice and assessment in medical education.
Faculty and staff participated in animated conversations, and learned different techniques like S.T.O.P (Stop momentarily, Take a breath, Observe, and then Proceed), deep listening, and reflective questioning.
