URCC22053 Reminder: Required VIPER Screening Form in REDCap
We are sharing an important clarification from the VIPER Study Data Team regarding participant screening procedures.
All potential participants approached for screening, including participants who consent, must be entered into the VIPER Screening Project in REDCap. A screening form must be completed for each individual—regardless of whether they are eligible for enrollment. Completing this form assigns a screening ID and ensures demographic information is captured to support analysis of recruitment efforts and participation barriers.
Please note that the Screening Form is located within the REDCAP VIPER Screening Project. This form is required and is separate from (and not to be confused with) the Screening Consent Form. The reminder to fill out this form is outlined in Section 5.0 (Participant Recruitment and Informed Consent) of the study protocol (version 3.0).
Do also note that a Screening Consent Form is required if blood is drawn specifically for screening, and must be uploaded to the Screening Project, not the main REDCap project.
