URCC NCORP

Advocates

URCC advocates bring a patient-centered perspective to the URCC and all aspects of our research. The overarching goal is to involve advocates in all aspects of the research process from inception to presentation of results and through updating of clinical practice treatment guidelines. In turn, we hope to increase the impact of our research by reliably identifying patients at highest risk for adverse toxicities and side effects from cancer and its treatments; developing effective treatments to improve outcomes for patients, survivors and their caregivers; mentor the next generation of cancer researchers; and disseminate our findings widely to inform clinical practice.
